Here you can find a lot of useful 'Instruction cards' to support, improve and innovate your everyday teaching in the hospital or in home tuition.

Most of them involve tecnology and have an innovative approach, but in most cases they are easy-to-use tools that don't need any specific preparation or hi budget investmens.

Description: The eTwinning portal provides online tools for teachers to find partners, set up projects, share ideas and work together, through the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The portal provides a meeting point and a workspace and is available in 26 languages.

Description: Makin films together, not only engages students in the subject matter, but also engages those who are more technically-minded, in the production of the film. It can be used in a home and hospital education context (HHE) by teachers who want to make short films for their pupils while they are away from the classroom, or by the ill pupil to show his/her classmates what is happening to them while they are not at school.

Description: Radio K2 is an Italian project undertaken by students admitted to AuxologicoPiancavallo (a hospital in Italy) which allows them to stay in touch and make their voices heard both in and outside of the hospital. The initiative was also followed by the creation of TeleK2 in 2011, through which the children were able to propose a television series, with themes related to science fiction, history and lifestyles.

Description: „Webchair” is a videoconferencing system which was developed in the Netherlands. It helps students to participate in lessons at their mainstream schools. The system is always available in the classroom whenever a student at home or in hospital wants to take part in lessons, and it also supports teachers at school. Students who are isolated (quarantine) are able to remotely control the camera and can also interact with classmates and teachers. The system consists of cameras, microphones, speakers and screens located both with the absent student (at home or in hospital) and in the classroom. The child can operate the camera in the classroom and can interact with his or her classmates. This system is very suitable for children with medical needs. In particular, in cases of long-term illness, students can stay in contact with his /her school friends.

Description: German telepresence service - lessons taught by a personal teacher. The individual lessons are transmitted by video and internet.

Description: There are a lot of (Free) online lessons for self responsible learning especially for students. They can also be used for children with medical needs. It is a good alternative to books when is student with medical needs has to stay in sterile rooms. Books have to be desinfected. Notebooks and tablet-PCs can stay in the room and can be disinfected much easier. Here are two examples for German students.
