Here you can find a lot of useful 'Instruction cards' to support, improve and innovate your everyday teaching in the hospital or in home tuition.

Most of them involve tecnology and have an innovative approach, but in most cases they are easy-to-use tools that don't need any specific preparation or hi budget investmens.

Description: Distance learning provides access to learning when the source of information and the learners are separated by time and distance, or both.

Description: The basic idea is to create a set of CDs, per subject and stage, prepared by the teachers, which are placed in a display file and distributed, along with the student’s books, at the beginning of the year, to enhance the learning process. Booklets for all subjects are also prepared in school, including summaries, worksheets, revision sheets, and model exams, to help the students grasp all aspects of the topics and to make learning simpler and clearer.

Description: SurveyMonkey is an online survey platform which enables the creation of online surveys that can be sent and completed via mobile, web or social media. Data analysis is also provided for a (small) fee or paid subscription to the service. Templates for various surveys are available.

Description: Escaping the confrontation with their illness is a daily concert of children with medical needs. This concern is quite comparable to the behaviour of truancy (the action of staying away from school without good reason). Video games in the ward may, like videotelephony with Skype and FaceTime, be a means for patients in hospital land at home to comfort them. Well chosen conventional videogames, but also specific made didactic games can therefore be powerful aids in HHE.

Description: Sharing a screen and mouse control, allows children in isolation to actively collaborate and co-construct products online, as e.g. Timbuktu, apple remote desktop, adobe connect... (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_remote_desktop_software). Any conference system that allows screen sharing and remote controlling would work similarly.
