Hoccer - A save messenger service

Description: Hoccer is a free instant messaging service for smartphones and tablets, which is available in Apple’s and Google’s App Stores. It allows to communicate in chat groups and to exchange messages, pictures and videos, without a registration with personal data.

Notes: The service’s provider, the Hoccer Betriebs GmbH in Berlin, which belongs meanwhile to the Ströer-Group, attaches importance on coding the personal data in the app. There is no need for the telephone number in the registration process, a self-chosen nickname is sufficient. Hoccer’s functions are well qualified to build up a communication-network in case a child is ill for a long time. In this case parents, teachers in home and hospital education, doctors, the concerned child and eventually the classmates can communicate staggered.
